 Follow the following methods for the best way to wrap a child, namely:

  • Roll it properly and take it from your child's doctor, so that it does not cause deformities in the joints, such as the joint of the thigh. Thus, it helps the child to grow normally.
  •  Wrap it in a thick blanket so that it does not lead to an increase or decrease in the child’s temperature, and be sure to measure his temperature continuously.
  •  When rolling, do not leave him asleep on his stomach, because the infant can not fluctuate, in addition to studies that revealed that one of the causes of sudden death in children is sleeping on the abdomen.
  • Avoid wrapping the child throughout the day, because this hinders the child's natural movement as well as his development, so he must have hours in which the freedom of movement is from the winding.
  •  As for the time allowed for you to wrap the child, it differs from one doctor to another, some of them see that the child can be wrapped up to the first month, and the other sees that it is permissible to wrap the child until the age of three months.


 Harms of wrapping the newborn

It is worth mentioning here, that there are doctors who see that wrapping a child is very dangerous and they are never recommended, noting that it leads to several problems, the most important of which are:

  •  Obstructing the child's movement and development process.
  •  Obstructing the child's disposal.
  •  Reduces the interaction of the infant's body with its outer circumference.

 Note: The reason for her application is due to the fact that she is usually a hereditary habit, the mother usually or even the grandmother advises her daughter to put the lap, and that there is no scientific evidence or evidence that is recommended for use.
