- A warm bath: By giving the child a warm bath during a bout of colic, to help him calm and relax, and to feel sleepy and sleep, with the need to put a few drops of lavender oil for water, and massage the abdomen gently, to help out the gases.
- Warm compresses: Where warm compresses are placed, and applied directly to the child's abdomen, with some circular movements on the abdomen, as this method helps in getting rid of gas and feeling calm.
- Massage the abdomen with oils: Natural medical oils are considered one of the best means that relax the child and get rid of gases, and help him to rest, calm and sleep, and prevent gas formation, while massaging the child's abdomen, chest chest and pelvic area, such as mint oil, chamomile oil, and anise oil.
- Knee exercises: These exercises are a great way to facilitate digestion, prevent gas formation in the stomach, and get rid of stomach discomfort, by sleeping the child on his back, holding his knees, and bending the legs toward the abdomen very gently, and the exercise continues for five minutes.
- Your baby's belching: After the lactation process is completed, the child should be urged to burp, to get rid of the gases that entered his stomach during feeding, and to prevent the formation of air in the stomach, and to make sure the baby's belly massages until the sound of his belching comes out.
- Halitite: Halitite is one of the important substances that calms colic, expels stomach gases, prevents vomiting of the child, and facilitates digestion, and Halitite is given to children who are more than five months old.
- Basil: It is one of the most important herbs to prevent colic, as it contains properties that prevent cramps, expel abdominal gases, and reduce intestinal lactation, where the child is given a tablespoon of soaked basil leaves, three times daily.
- Fennel seeds: These are the active substances that reduce stomach gases, eliminate colic, and calm the stomach, where a newborn is given one tablespoon of fennel seeds soaked three times daily, and a mother who breastfed her baby must eat fennel seeds soaked.
